What can Loop Junior do for you? (1st Edition– Event Calendar)
Posted August 18, 2021
Hi Everyone!
In case you missed it, I’m new to Loop Junior and will be learning all about the Loop Junior website functions and features that bring people together and enable knowledge sharing.
Loop Junior has a lot of exciting webinars in the works in the coming months, so naturally, the first Loop Junior website feature I needed to learn was how to navigate the Event Calendar and how to post events. Once these webinars are confirmed, they’ll be posted and appear there.
You can access the Event Calendar from the Loop Junior Home Page in a couple ways - under ‘Services’ on the top toolbar, and under your profile shortcut on the sidebar.

One of the awesome features of Loop Junior’s Event Calendar is that any Loop Junior member can post for everyone in the community to see. It can be an event that you are organizing, an event you are attending or just an event you think the fall prevention community of practice might be interested in!
Here’s how:
- Use the “Submit to the Loop Calendar” button and complete the new event form.
- Be sure to include a short and long description (can be taken from the event webpage).
- Include a link to the event URL. If there isn’t one, link to event organizer’s URL.
- Attach a flyer if possible (max 2MB).
- If you are not the organizer of the event, ask permission before posting their event.

All events are approved by the Loop Jr. team before being published on Loop Junior’s Event Calendar. If you need to update or edit an event after it’s published to the Event Calendar, just let me know and I can easily make the edits for you :)
But wait! There’s more! You can view upcoming events, search for an event, or comment on an event so it will be featured under the Active Discussions, increasing the event visibility and allowing others to comment too!
If you have any questions about the Loop Junior Event Calendar (or the Loop Junior website in general), let me know and we can find an answer together.
Cheers!
Michelle
Over the next few weeks, I will be showcasing various website functions and features by sharing my learnings with you. If you can’t handle the anticipation between posts ;), feel free to explore the website on your own or review the brief Loop Jr. Tutorial videos posted on the Loop Jr. website.
