Keeping Kids Safe - an online resource to support chid service providers who work with parents of 0-4 year olds
Posted November 15, 2018
When is the first moment that a developing infant learns to do something new like roll from back to tummy? Will that moment be when you are not watching them on a change table?
Most injuries to little ones aged 0-4 years of age occur in and around the home where they spend most of their time.
Keeping Kids Safe is an online resource to support parents of children, 0-4 years old and explores preventing injuries such as falls, using three evidence based concepts:
1. Active supervision
2. Awareness of child growth and development stages
3. Home modifications
This online-only resource can support organizations with fall and injury prevention information for parents and caregivers. Follow the link www.durham.ca/childsafety to access Keeping Kids Safe - a child safety resource.
