Canadian Child Safety Report Card

Recently, an interactive website displaying the data from work on an "injury report card" was launched. The website, safetyreportcard.ca, shows injury rates by type and province in the style of a report card. Visitors can see where evidence-based prevention policies have succeeded, and where more work needs to be done. Each province has received an overall score, which were calculated by summing the scores on 5 criteria: hospitalization rate, death rate, percent change in morbidity and mortality rates, and evidence-based policy score.
