Preventing Paediatric Window Falls WEBINAR UPDATE

Dr. Simonelli and I wanted to thank all participants in the webinar on December 3, 2019. It was a great venue to get our story out about how to make homes safer through partnership between medical and building code experts.

We also wanted to provide you with an update. Since the webinar, we received notice that the code change proposal has cleared the final hurdle and therefore will appear in the National Building Code of Canada 2020 edition that is due out later this year or early next year. Also as a direct result of the webinar, representatives from PARACHUTE and the National Research Council who were webinar participants have forged a new connection that will hopefully lead to further partnerships and information sharing.
